These meetings are open to committee officials and extended members of the committee.
The purpose of the meeting is to gather your views on the future of societies at Teesside University.
To ensure that the discussions are focused and that you are prepared to participate, the following topics and questions will be considered, along with any other topics attendees wish to discuss relevant to management or engagement with societies.
1. Governance
- Committee size, positions, membership, recruitment, responsibilities
- Elections
2. Training
- What training should committee members receive
- How should the training be delivered
- When should the training be done.
3. Funding
- Please note the university does not fund societies.
- How should societies be funded?
- Donations, membership Fees, Levy etc
4. Types & Activities
- What types of society should we have?
- What activities should societies do?
5. Engagement
- How should we get students to join?
- How should we get members to attend?
6. Issues
- What issues do you face running your society?
- How can the SU be more helpful?
